I live in Grafton which is in Lorain county. I noticed the ohio plates on your YJ is why I asked. Keep it rubber side down.

Hey yall, im new to the JP forums, and while im not new to jeeps, im fixin to buy MY first jeep today (my dad had one and my fiancee has a 08 2 door rubicon). First of all, those fullsize axles look badass, second of all, i think yall are probly the right folks to ask, im buying a 74 cj 5 renegade with the 304, and its got 31s but im wanting to go to at least 33s, but i really want 35s. Will those stock axles hold up under 35s? If not, what are the laws on having fullsize axles on a road legal vehicle? This jeep is gonna spend most of its time out checkin cows, with the ocassional mud slingin and maybe some mild wheelin here and there, and i dont wanna tear nothin up.

nothing wrong with trunning the full with, just have to leagally cover the tires for your state.
if your not gonna be hammering on it the stockers will be just fine for the 35's otherwise look into d44's or d60's if it's in the budget. it may already have d44's due to the v-8
