I have 77 cj7 with a amc 360, th400, and quadra trac. wanting to eliminate the q.t. I got a 80 scout II for the axles and was hoping to use the dana 300 t.c. in my jeep. Is the IH dana 300 the same as the jeeps? They look the same except for the input shaft housing. With an adapter is this mate possible? all the picks Ive seen of adapters don't look right. or I can get my hands on a th400 with a dana 20 out of a fsj. any help on which would be the best option would be really helpfull.
