aint all that bad i think it would be easier than mine. due to you have leaf springs and so does the truck. what kind of engine do you have in your yj and what tranny? the 307 is too old for that jimmy 305 or 350 would sound a bit more like it. but some one could of put the 307 in cause they had one. if you have the 4.0 i wouldnt trade that for a 307 depending on what tranny you have. the 350 would be a cool tranny. and for tcase it depends on what tcase is in the GMC. no matter what ur going to have to swap tcases in the yj if you use a pass side drop front. in my tj im going pass side drop with a dana 300 tcase
umm and a great thing for a 12 bolt would be c clip eliminators from jegs. then that 12 bolt would be pretty sick.

Nice spam, John, if that is indeed your real name...
Anyway, K5's are a dime a dozen: I don't really know of anyone that hasn't owned one... The DT swap sounds like a great idea: just pray it's actually a 350, not a 305.
And, yes, for the record, I used to own a '79 Jimmy, 350/350.
