WELL, ILL TELL YA...WE DID A BNSF RAIL TRUCK UP HERE IN MONTANA FOR ALL THERE HEAVY SCHIT ON THERE RIGS AND WE USED 2 GAL. UF HURCULINER AND DID THERE TRUCK BED ON A FREIGHTLINER FL80 AND IT TURNED OUT PRETTY GOOD ITS ABOUT $100 A KIT THAT COMES W/EVERYTHING YOU NEED. IT MAY NOT BE AS THICK AS A RHINOLINER OR ANY OF THOSE THAT COST 3-400$ BUT FOR A JEEP ITLL WORK JUST FINE,THATS WHAT IM USING ON MY 79 CHEROKEE INSIDE AND ON THE ROCKERS,I JUST HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE WEATHER...GO FIGURE! AND GOOD LUCK ON YOUR CHOICE.

i used herculiner on the whole inside of my tub my yj a couple years ago. it has held up pretty well except under my feet. it only took a couple months to wear off.

i actually work at a place for about 6 years spraying bedliners. the first liner we used was the famous rhynoliner. people arent aware of it but rhynoliner is very soft and doesnt hold up to the abuse as other liners on the market.
the next machine we got was line X. lineX is a whole lot harder and holds up better and is a way better liner than rhynoliner. it is a decent liner and is found a whole lot of places
the next machine that we got was a machine that sprayed Xtreme Liner and is the machine that I spray to this day. Xtreme liner is a tad harder than lineX and is the best on the market. its not found in many places but its the best.
we have had so many people come in with durabak and herculiner and want us to get it all out and spray it with a real liner but we turn the down unless they scrape it out by themselves. it frankly sucks it isnt near the liner of even the rhynoliner much less lineX or Xtreme liner.
your gonna have to take it some where to get a good job done, a good liner can not be done at your house. save your money get a real bed liner go with Xtreme Liner or LineX.

i have the herculiner in my YJ and its been there for a year an a half.. no problems here. the only scrap i put in it was from a 6" wide razor scraper blade on a 4' scraper when i pissed and wiped it into the jeep... wasnt too bad tho
P.S. used a full gallon with 3 coats and what ever was left over i used in high wear areas

if your gonna put it in a jeep that regularly see trees and rocks and tries to dance around them, then the hurculiner is probably the best bet for the money and if you use it on the floor under feet just put extra there... its been about 1yr since we put it on BNs FL80 and they have heavy spikes and rail ewuipment on the truck all day and its still holdin up!

I went through the same problems while trying to decide what to do to the tub of my '99 TJ when the carpet got molded to a point that I didn't want it in there anymore. I ended up going with Line-x, sprayed on by Line-X of Texoma, to help increase my resale and I must say I am extremely happy with it. I have compared it to the Herculiner in some family member's trucks and it looks so much more professional I wouldn't go any other route. Just shell out the extra money and go for a spray on liner, you won't regret it.

you guys are right lineX looks very professional. i just wish you could see some Xtreme liner. the Xtreme looks alot like it except it is harder. go with a lineX or xtreme and you wont be disappointed. it will be better on you in the end. it looks better, for resale its better.

Just bought a gal of hurc for the Yj. Have rubber mats for the high wear areas. This post just lit a fire under my a** to go do it. Thanks.

durabak and hurculiner are soft compared to lineX and Xtreme. if im thinking right one is roll on and one is a crappy spray kit. do what you want, maybe its your thing to not spend a lot of money and do things yourself. i know i wouldnt want to pay what it cost to get a jeep done(all the taping off and little corners and wasted material, it cost a lot more than a truck bed) im just saying which one is a better liner. i know that there is a reason that our whole set up with the pumps and gun and stuff cost 25k. a spray in bedliner is just better quality. you could do what the whole put a rubber mat where the high rub areas are and that would work fine im just saying what is of better quality

I am installing a new body, would it work on the underside or should I stick with paint and undercoating?
