I'm trying to decide between 33" and 35" tires. I have a 2004 Rubicon with auto tranny. I have Full Traction 3" (probably 3.5") with 3/4" spacer up front and a 1" body lift. I am running worn out 32's now and getting ready for new tires. I know 33's are no problem but yall think I can run 35's?

yes 35's will fit. Im running 33's with a one inch body lift on a rubi.  You will need to gear it especially with the auto tranny though so keep that in mind.

Well I ceratinly can't afford to re-gear right now. Especially after dropping cash for tires. Maybe a one year delay on gears (2008 tax return ). Think I could live with the stock 4:10's and auto tranny with 35's for a year?

Nope  if you had a five or six speed you may be able to tollerate it for a year but with the auto it would not work

that would be... not advised though mine had 4.10's and 35's for quite some time.

These tires were made for muddin and they're gonna throw mud all over you.

Finally settled on 33's with yall's advice (and advice from a couple thousand others ) Now which tire?
I have a good price on 2 different sets - both out the door price for 5 tires including mounting and lifetime balancing)
Cooper STT - $1034
Maxxis Bighorn - $922

I like the looks of both tires. Both appear to be good in mud. What about the wear of the tires - mileage?

Any advice?

I've been running 35's on my 2000 TJ for 4 years now, and it has an automatic tranny and I haven't had anything done to the gears...? How come I haven't run into any issues...?

I had the Cooper STT's on my 04 Chevy 2500 HD and they didn't last very long at all! Of course the Jeep is about 3000 lbs lighter, so they might wear well. I liked the way they rode and the tread was decent for a highway/semi-off road tire.

I just put Open Country Toyo 35" M/T's on my Jeep, and I really like them so far. A bit spendy, but I think they will work out good.

Finally Powering-Up my 95 YJ with a 5.7 Liter TBI - Whoo Hoo!

Finappy  your running 35's and you never regeared. Im impressed and confused at the same time. I would guess that your auto tranny isnt shifting into 3rd and it probably takes a while to hit 60 mph.

its cause it a three speed auto, 3.73's and 4.10's get along decent with the 1-1 final ratio.
