i lifted my rubicon 2.25" in the front and .75" in the back with spacers and i have 5 1/2" between the fender flares and the top of the stock mtr's. i want to go with some 255/85/16 probably maxxis bighorns which i hear are 33 10.5 16. im thinking of going with a 1.25 jks body lift also. will that work and still look good if im running stock rims

the 255's will fit, you'll need to lengthen the front bumpstops to keep them out of the fenders while the sway bar is disconnected. it'll look good without the body lift, I've got a pic somewhere of mine with 255x85-16 BFG's under the 2.5" rancho lift. they are advertised at 33.1" tall, they measure just over 32" mounted and on the vehicle. I avoid body lifts as if they are a plague.

will the 255's rub anywhere without the body lift, like on the control arms. and why do you avoid body lifts? ive heard nothing bad about the daystar kit that replaces everything?

it stretches wireing and brake lines, causes shifting problems with the t-case and manuals especially, and requires mods to the fan shroud....ect.

It'll need extended bumpstops to run with the swaybar disconnected, with 4.5" backspacing they won't rub the control arms...

I run an auto tranny so the transfercase shift linkage had to be modified with a drop braket which wasnt all that hard to install and the fan shroud would of been a pain to modify so instead I just took it off totally...in warmer weather climates this might not be ideal but here in cold ohio my jeep never over heats. Thanks for posting my pic mudb8, soon to get more lift.

those are all i have of the 255x85-16's just happend that my brother's wife got a shot off of it in a predicament...well maybe they have some..they weren't on there long, I went to a 315, wore them out then the 34" trXus, it is about the same look as the trXus, they are narrower and about a inch shorter.

If you do a one inch motor mount lift with the one inch body lift you will not have modify the fan shroud and it will help keep the oil pan out of the rocks!! I have the daystar lift and have no problems with anything, no squeaks.
