BFG.
The Nitto's are good tires, but I love love love my BFG AT's, so of the two that is what I would choose.
So it's not a Jeep... sue me... it's still faster!

Bfg's all the way. I have an 04 tj sport and currently I have a set of bfg's with approx 40,000 miles on them and have about 1/2 the tread still left on them. But if your trail deals with heavy mud they will turn into slicks. Especially if you deal with Texas blackland (clay). It sticks to anything.

BFG's are good tires just stay away from big mud puddles.

Hi there, I just wanted to share my personal experience with the Terra Grappler. I can't say anything about the BFG because I've had no experience with them.
First off the vehicle I was driving is an F-150 ext cab, short box FX4 package. I recieved a new set of Grapplers and put a couple hundred miles on them. I experienced very low road noise, great handling and smooth highway driving. During a snowfall in MN a few weeks ago they worked better than anything I've ever had. I do snow service and pull a trailer in snow covered conditions. I nevewr used the 4wheel drive....not once. With these tires just for fun I goosed the peddle in the yard and was throwing major rooster tails and slammed the brakes on the driveway and stopping was not and issue. On the streets driving in the snow, it was like driving on drzzley days. Off road I still didn't use the 4 wheel drive as they have great traction.

I'm a noob and do love the wrangler 88 YJ my son has. looking forward to as much help and info we all can share here. Thanks in advance.
