Anybody heard when or where?  Lots of rumors on the internet, but no comfirmations.  

There are still no confirmations but here's a quick run down on the happenings so far...
Jeep posted a link for "moer information and to be notified about Camp Jeep 2008" in Jan. It was yanked down pretty fast...

The phone number for info is 877.CAMP.JEEP.

When you call you typically get the following answer.

Yes it is happening.

The dates are Thursday July 24 2008 to Saturday July 26 2008.

It will be at Oak Ridge again.

I have talked with them several times starting in Jan of 2008 and so far they do not have any more information other than the dates, and the location.

Of the 5 people I have talked with, 3 have given me that date and two have said the dates I have are still tentative...  

Supposedly the link for registration was to be posted mid Feb but obviously that didn’t happen.

On a side note, if anyone from Colorado is going this year I would be interested in doing a convoy.

I already have my reservations at the KOA despite the fact that there is no official word on registration yet.

The sites do go fast so if you are set on going, then get your place to stay secured now.  

Being a New Jeep Owner I heard about this event through other Jeepers.  I called the 877.CAMP.JEEP phone at 11PM EST and actually spoke to a live English speaking woman - thought fore sure I would get a computer or with Nardelli there now it would have been a call center in India.  Anyway she confirmed to me that Camp Jeep 2008 is being rolled into a massive Camp Jeep 2009 15th anniversary event.

Doesn't quite make sense in order to have an anniversary you need to have one every year, but hey what do I know.
I wouldn't be surprised if Bob had a hand in budget cuts on that - since he would understand the commitment of Jeepers and 4x4 drive guys.  
They were not sure yet of the exact date & location but she promised that it’s planning to be a Big Event to celebrate the 15 yr anniversary of CAMP JEEP in 2009.

Camp Jeep Update - Camp Jeep 15th Annual Event

Over the past few months we’ve received ongoing inquiries regarding plans for the 15th annual Camp Jeep. As you may recall the 14th annual Camp Jeep hosted in 2007 was the biggest, most successful event in the history of Camp Jeep. With attendance levels at an all time high, hosting well over 10,000 people and accommodating nearly 2,800 vehicles; we want the next Camp Jeep to be an even better experience for our owners.

You know what they say, you’re only as good as your last event, and after 14years of hosting some of the most exceptional owner events ever known, I think it’s fair to say we know a little bit about what it takes to create an entertaining comprehensive Jeep experience. Because we really want to do things right, the decision has been made to host the 15th annual Camp Jeep in July 2009. We know the last Camp Jeep will be a hard one to top, but the lead time gained this year will permit additional planning, and will certainly aid in producing a superior Camp Jeep event for 2009 resulting in a more gratifying owner experience.

Event preparation and development is ongoing; the location and dates of Camp Jeep 15 are to be determined. We will be sure to share more information regarding this event as updates are made available.

Just got off the horn with "877-camp jeep"

Asked what was going on with Camp Jeep 2008.  Reply:
"Where is that....Here it is... The Jeep brand has decided to hold the 15th anniversary Camp Jeep in 2009."  I then asked if that meant that there was no Camp Jeep in 2008 and she replied "that is correct."
