Rough idle, strang noise????

OK, here’s my question and or problem:  I just installed my 3rd Jasper engine in my 2000 TJ (please no comments regarding my choice of engine rebuilder, I’ve learned my lesson BIG time), since doing so I have noticed two things that I’m having a hard time diagnosing, the first is, it appears to have a low RPM vibration more so when I am in Drive and have my foot on the brake, so much so that it actually vibrates the side view mirrors, the second is a what can be best described as a faint but very high pitch squeal or whistle which disappears when I increase the RPM’s? Not sure what to check next, I have checked the vacuum lines and they appear to be fine, with regard to the rough idle I was wondering if it could be a possible intake leak or bad O2 sensor although it has not tripped any MIL codes, but they are the original OEM sensors that have about 240,000 miles on them. As far as the squeal or whistle I have no idea?????

Any help or input would be appreciated.

Thanks to all,
Bill

yep, a intake leak could contribute there.

You can check for a vaccum leak or an intake leak with a can of propane. You get a small propane torch (that can be bought at any hareware store for $10.00). Then you open the valve (BUT DO NOT LIGHT IT) you use the gas to spay around the intake and vaccum line if the idle smooths out you've found your leak. ASE Tech
