UPDATE Just picked up the Jeep from the shop. 1.94 in parts and 105 in labor got me a fix for the problem. They tell me that it was a broken wire inside the speed sensor connector. It works better than new. sure wish someone could have figured it out a year ago. Hope this helps someone.
