Hey I just joined. I was wondering how popular or easy it is to swap a Land Rover v8 into a early cj5 or cj3. I may consider swapping into my 95 xj also. Possible tranny choices include the th-350 (cj5 cj3) or AW4 (xj). Any info or tips for or against either swap would be appreciated. Thanks.

anything can be swaped but when you mix two different breeds you get one huge headache. If you want a V8 in your jeep than you would be better off to stay on the American side of ideas and go with a 350V8 or 304V8 it makes things a whole lot easier plus the parts out there for these is very easy to obtain
