Ok everyone what do you think of the new Patriot? My Girlfriend wants a Jeep but she doesn't want a compass or Liberty and can't afford a Grand Cherokee or a Wrangler. She also wants good gas mileage. So we where leaning towards the Patriot because it looks like the Commander's little brother and she can get one fully loaded for $25,000 with the off-roading package. It also has all the comfort and convenience like heated seats, leather (well what they call leather), navigation system, and 4-Lo with the 4.10 off-road gearing.

For your girlfriend the Patriot would be a good choice in a Jeep. It's not a hard core wheeler, but it doesn't sound like thats what you're looking for anyway. If she likes it I say go for it! Just don't buy a Compass... lol

So it's not a Jeep... sue me... it's still faster!

At least it has a 2 speed transfer case.  Doesn't sound too bad for what your wanting.  My wife likes the liberty with the canvas sunroof.  But she has to wait.

Then Patriot with the manual is fun to drive on the road. My sister ended up with an auto version that she drives daily. On road only. Some snow and gravel roads.
