What would be a good tranny for a SBC in a Scrambler, and how can I divorce a Dana 300?

the th 350 or a th 700r4 is best with a sbc, why do you need to use a divorced t-case?

i have a small block chevy with a sm465 behind it. its a manual and i love the hell out of it. its got a crazy low first gear at 6.56 to 1. but if your interested in an automatic i have a freshly rebuilt 700r4 that is for sale. i got it with my 350 and wanted the manual. i never put it in it just came as a package deal. if your interested let me know. and are you building a friggen monster truck? i cant think of any other reason to divorce the t-case. is  it cause you dont want to get an adapter to go between the tranny and the t-case?

the scrambler isn't really long enough to divorce them, the 700 and a 300 is a nice combo adapted together.

It is not a monster truck, I just can't see paying over $500 for an adapter. I am wanting to use a 4 or 5-speed manual. My plans also include a hi pinion Dynatrac Dana 60 rear and a Dynarac Pro Dana 44 front.

if you want a manual i recamend a sm465. its a four speed. thats what i have behind my 350 and theres almost no way to hurt it. and the gear ratios are crazy. i find it amusing that you dont want to pay for an adapter but your willing to throw the big coin for the dynatrac axles. i had to pony up for the adapter and it made it nice and easy. plain and simple is its well worth the money.
