hello,
Can anyone recomend a replacement rearend for a 1948 willys truck? The truck currently has a timken which from my research is about impossible to get parts for. It has a f4 134, t90, and dana 18. I would like a rearend of the same width and with the planned 33-35 inch tires something a little stronger with better brakes would be nice. Thanks for any input.

An early 70's J-truck Dana 44 rearend would be a good candidate, although it would be wider than stock. The axle is not totally offset but it is off to the correct side slightly. Look for a flanged axle version. A '74-'79 Quadra-Trac Wagoneer Dana 44 rearend is likely a better swap though, and closer to the correct width.
