Also I was looking at Edlebrock's IAS Shocks. Now I know there is no lift to them, but to they ride smooth. Jp has put them on a few Grands.

twin tubes are cheaper and can ride well when valved propperly. monos are better and will last. for a jeep with a budget boost, look at doetsch-shocks.com dt8000s ride very well. alot of guys swear by Old man emu shocks.
02 Tj with a few mods

I just installed that exact lift on my wrangler:

As to twin versus mono:
Twin tubes will give you a better on road ride and are cheaper
Mono tubes will ride harsher and last longer. They are more suited to a trail rig.

I'd pony up for properly valved mono-tubes. They are better shocks, will last longer, and will provide a more consistent ride (no fade).
I think some of you are mistaken. The ride depends on the valving, not the basic design of the shock. A mono-tube shock is a higher-end shock. Twin-tubes are not as consistent but are less expensive.
