i want to do a 4-4.5 inch lift on my 05 rubi. thats not the topic. the topic is the tires. i want to run 33x12.50s on the stock moab wheels, still not the question. i want tires that perform well in mud and decent on the road, which leads to my question. how many miles have any of yall got with the tires im looking at, i want the mickey thompson mtz's, but also i would like to hear imput about the others that are similar in looks and performance, like the goodyear mtr's, bfg mud terrain, procomp xterrain, toyo open country. i would like to have imput on people that tell me all about them even the size of the tire they are running and the true od. how they perform offroad, as well as how many miles they got out of them, and how loud, and road and such, anything helps
(i can get the MT's, and Toyos for wholesale which helps too thanks casey

If you want a good mud and hwy performance check these out, they are 10ply radials with extremely thick 2 ply sidewalls mud, snow, water, ice, slick rocks, dirt, sand, they do it all. I've wore out a set of all but the mickey Thompson's, 35x12.5-16.5 bfg's went 55000 mostly hwy miles on my full size, they were bald. 33x12.5-15 xterrains 34000, also bald 245x75-16 Goodyear wrangler m/t's had 32000 and were pulled off at 20% remaining. the toyo's 265x75-16 are at 16000, 30% remaining. these are on the burb. it has no alignment issues as it has been checked by Les schwab upon my complaints, they are and awesome handling tire and carry a load extremely well, I pull a 34' toy hauler at least once a month to the dunes and weekly trips to the track during the mx season, the toyo and the Goodyear both make more noise than my trXus m/t's on the jeep. all of them are great tires for on and off road use, however they aren't very much good in the mud. your mileage results will be different depending on driving habits.

I'm not so sure yet, I've heard claims of colse to 40,000, I'll be lucky to get 32000 i think, I'm pretty hard on them though in the rocks and hill climbing

I have PC's (pro comp) MT tires on my 4" Wrangler - With disconnects off, I can go almost anywhere. Those MT's really grip on mud and snow (there 2 days ago) and because of the voids do mild to med black diamond trails with no complaints.
As for 40,000 - don't know about that. They are getting cut up on the trails/rocks, so don't expect to see any high mileage replacement but will see damage replacement.
AS far as which is best - well, best in which particular situation? I don't think you can buy a bad MT tire from any Manuf. You will only notice a difference when you are using them up to and passed their 97% capability rating. Or in other words. If you constantly push your rig (tires) to the absolute max. (your rig is no longer moving forward, no matter what you do), then worry about the extra 2% to 3% difference in the tires. Other than that, get which ones look good to you.
