Hey Ya'll

I've got a 1999 wj and i've been wondering if there are some coil springs out of an old truck that would lift my grand cherokee up about 2-3"? And then maybe it would have a stiffer ride too!

THANKS

not that I'm aware of, randy's, rockkrawler, teraflex all have kits for the wj, for just 2" a spacer kit can do it for you, the coils are much better,

what is banging, did you get longer shocks with the 2"?
I use Rancho monotube shocks there are several brands, all of which are decent shocks.

if you still have stock length shocks the banging may be from the shocks bottoming out. or something is loose.

i tried a pair of rancho shocks in the front and back, and they were the worst ride ever! they were 2" longer for the lift, but they had no spring or pressure in them at all! you could push them in and pull them out one handed, maybe i just got a bum set, not sure?

yep they were bad, I use rancho monotubes and they are great, not to stiff either.

I found that if you can get ahold of a pair of up country coil springs they are about an inch longer than the regular shocks on the WJ! I also found some that have a higher weight limit too, which will not compress so much from the weight!
