traditional economy mud tire, that sounds like a good deal but you have the right idea, you get what you pay for.

My next set is going to be Cooper STT's I think. They look a lot like the Goodyear MT/R's. Anybody ran them? I have also heard good remarks about the Maxxis Bighorns.

i blew two tires on my 96 cherokee and borrowed two Aurora 31 X 10.50's from a friend for about two months until i had the money to get four new matching tires....anyway...they were fine.. good on the trail and provided a good ride on the rode as well...i think they will be a good purchase..especially for the price.

just as an alternative, visit this website...www.treadwright.com they do retreading, but you dont have to send them tires, so basically you choose the size of tire and the amount (they have a wide variety ranging from super mud to economic) and they are alot cheaper then most tires.  they come with 2 year warranty/ 25,000 mile.  Some have a higher composite in them called greendiamond, this is a legal substance that gives amazing traction in all types of conditions.

dont know if your interested but definitly worth a look.

i remember reading an article about those retread mud tires in an off road magazine a few years ago, the magazine did a test of them, and liked them alot for the price.
