Hi,
 I have a 1994 jeep grand cherokee laredo, and the carburator is dumping gas into the crank case.  i was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on what this could be.

Doesn't that have throttle body injection?

the older rigs with mechanical fuel pumps had a tendency to get fuel in the crankcase due to bad diaphragms.  

Yea, 94 should be injected... they did away with carbs around 88 I thought...

If there is gas in your oil (crank case) you could be looking at a case of bad rings. If the rings are no longer sealing well against the cylinder walls they could be allowing blow by, or gas to seep down into the crankcase. Have you checked your compression lately?  

i acually havent checked the compression in a while, so ill do that thanks, and it defetly has a holley carburetor in it, but thank you very much guys maeyb i can finally get this going again!!  

could also just be way past due for an oil change, when they get done at 2500 miles even with bad rings the oil wont be in to bad of shape, if it is there definitely is a problem.

I missed the part about the holley, wonder why someone did that? Do check the float level, they will dump it in.
