dropped the top on and it fits!! kind of, had to cut about 1/4" from the leading edge of the top, so it sets down enough, add (4) 2" c-clamps to the tub and will have to get some 2000 ish cams to bolt to the front, work on the upper door to windshield seals a little and good to go for the nd winter. eh

well, i got the top to windshield clamps installed & buttoned down...will work great, looks good from 50 ft too! i will post some pics when i can...only "bad" part is i haven't taken the time to finish the bolts coming through the front of hhardtop, figured it best to drill through than fight stripped screws/lags or whatever, as the top material seems kind of plastic-ee

Wow... lol... how did we all miss this! Awesome thread!
You should post some photos, I'm sure we would all love to see this!
I have heard all about the interchangeability of tops, but can't say I have ever seen a CJ top on a TJ, very cool.

Did you ever get pictures of this?
I know that the doors from a cj/yj aren't interchangeable with a tj becase the windshield of a TJ is a a different angle. I thought this would affect the top as well.

Saw pics on Readers Rides of the Hard Top with the Jeep in action. Looks good. I have used cj hard doors on a yj (witha lil fab). I guess the cj hard top would fit on a yj with little or no problem. Might need to try it.
When you're finished....you're done
