Newbie here. I'm certain this question has arisen frequently here, and I'm sorry if the topic has been hashed out before, but I went through the old threads and couldn't find it. And conditions DO change. So . . .
My order for a new JK Sahara 2D was placed during the first week of October at my local dealer in northern Minnesota. Can anyone here provide me with a reasonable expectation of how long I might have to wait for delivery? The dealer first suggested 4-6 weeks, but after a bit of research amended that to "2 to 3 months." I've heard of waits lasting up to six months.
Anyone have recent experience or breaking news on this apparent backlog problem? Thanks in advance. Duane Behrens, Ely ("Perzuki")

Thats probably right... 1-6 months that is... Since you got a 2-door it shouldn't be as long of a wait though. Only thing you can do is keep checking with your dealer, have them tell you when it is assigned a VIN and build date, from that point it should only be time in transit to you, it will keep you in the loop as to when you can expect your Jeep.
I know it's hard, but it will be worth the wait.
So what did you get on yours anyway that kept you from just buying one off the lot?
So it's not a Jeep... sue me... it's still faster!

I haul alot of them so they are comming, maybe look at a used 07 I run across many from auctions, rental turnbacks, repos, and trade ins all in excellent shape and clean, I get em before they are detailed by the dealers. It'll save you money anyway.

Thanks for both responses - I appreciate it. Specs from the order form follow - nothing that unusual, but the dealer had nothing close on the lot. They called around, but all the area dealers had only automatic transmissions. !!! An automatic . . . sort of like kissing your sister; it's okay, but . . . .

you can have all the sticks you can handle, I love to kiss my sister, gas and go, no replacing clutches after a trip to moab or driving in traffic every day.
Enjoy.. hope you don't have to wait much longer, cool color, to bad it gets stuck with a 30 up front. find one in Oregon, Cali or Washington I can get it there or have it done. (anywhere actually.)
