I am wanting to lift my 04 TJ sport to fit 33's. I currently use it to drive to and from work @ 60 miles round trip a day 4 days a week and then take it out on to the trails on weekends. So it needs to ride and drive well in sun, rain, snow and ice as well as perform well offroad. All input would be appreciated.

as long as the kit is complete anything of 3.5 or 4". if you have the cash grab a R.E. 3.5 long arm for ride quality. stay away from bias ply tires. go to at least 4:10 or up to 4:88 gears for power and economy.
These tires were made for muddin and they're gonna throw mud all over you.

AEV.com sells a fender kit that allows 35 with no lift. I wouldent say its the best kit but its an option. The pros are a low center of gravity with a stock ride and the cons are the stock paper thin control arms that remain the same.

It's good to see they lowered the price of the highline fender kit,http://www.aev-conversions.com/products/highline/ I went with a 2.5" lift and plan to get the AEV kit to stuff up to 37" tires under my rubi, the 2.5" suspension lift gave the ride quality on rough road/high speed driving without constantly bouncing off the bump stops and also room for a pair of shocks for a 6" lift for maximun travel. I run truxus m/ts 34x12.50-16s on stock rubi wheels, rancho 2.5" competition crawler short arm lift, no need to drop the t-case, rubicon express upper arms (the stock ones broke in half on a hill climb), nth degree stinger and slider replaced the upper arms on the rear. It doesnt rub anything unless I have the sway bar disconnected. I flopped it on its side 4 times with the stock suspension (no dammage luckily) It now goes on the same trails and doesnt even pick a tire off the ground with the 2.5" and mostly thanks to the long shocks. my neighbor slows down more for 15-25 mph corners in his jetta than I do in a lifted jeep. he says his car pushes the front at that speed. The jeep has awesome road manners.

Thanks for the input it is appreciated. I had been looking at the rancho crawler kit to try and keep a low cg. I've heard great things about the re products but that is all desert stuff with rocks and here in this part of Texas there's more mud than rocks there is a few places to go for rocks but they are a few hours away instead of around the local lakes.

The rancho kit is a short arm kit that works much better in the mud than rocks, it uses poly bushings, has heavy cast arms that wont bend, dont let the crawler name turn you away, I'm in oregon, we have a very wide variety of terrain to play on, I stayed with short arms because of the steep hills and mud, $1000.00 vs. $2700.00 plus there is no need for a driveshaft or t-case drop, long arms like any other kit, only flex as far as the shocks can reach. rancho's arms let it flex all the way to the top of shocks designed for a 6" lift, all you sacrifice is a little choppier ride, if boggers are involved, the difference goes unnoticed.
