I have a Bone stock 2006 Rubicon LJ and new to 4x4 I decided on buying my first Jeep while I was in Iraq, so when I came home I bought my first Jeep. I want to install a Rubicon Express Suspension Lift before I redeploy to Iraq again. I only want to go to a 33" and keep the stock rim, But then again I want clearance so I am thinking of going to a lager tire if I need to. So I am looking at a 3.5" or 4.5" lift. Will I need to get a longer drive shaft what size lift will give me the clearance without having to change axle, pinon gears or such. I know I have to change shocks and tires. Any advice would help

First off thanks for what you do for our freedom. To go to a 33 you should only need the 3.5 lift but if you think your going to soon after go to a bigger tire like a 35 and do not want to cut your fenders then the 4.5" would be your better choice. Remember that to go to a 35" tire you are going to have to change your gears from the stock 4.10 to at least a 4.56 ratio. As for the driveshafts you might get away with using the stock ones considering you have the longer wheelbase but I am not 100% sure so I will leave that one to someone else with more LJ experiance. Hope I helped and thanks again

Crawl is right, 3.5 or 4.5 will suit what you want to do well!
So it's not a Jeep... sue me... it's still faster!
