I am looking for 33" - 35" tires to put on stock wheels on my 1966 J2000 Gladiator. All of the tires that I see advertised these days are wider than what I seek. I am looking for the old military look rather than a rock crawler look and I use the truck almost exclusively on-road. Does anyone know what size/brand tires that JP has on the M-715 ("Evil Truck") shown on page 46 of the August issue (which are different than the tires shown on the same truck on the cover of that issue)? These look like what I am looking for. Any help/suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

check out 255x85-16s about 34" tall 10.5" wide. bfg's, super swamper truxus m/t, since you use it on the road, I would guess the tires on the "evil truck" are 34x9.5-16.5 super swampers
These tires were made for muddin and they're gonna throw mud all over you.

I think I'm on to something here, superswampers tsl THORNBIRDS, at least it won't be so noisy, they have better street manners. http://www.intercotire.com/site31.php thornbirds http://www.intercotire.com/site32.php ss swampers

I actually stumbled across the evil truck article a couple of days ago, they are 13x38-16 swampers.. I know, they don't look that big but that is what it says, the cover truck on the August issue is a different rig belonging to someone else

I think that your going to have to go with 235/85/16 or 255/85/16, i would think that any kind of swamper would not give you good service on the road.
