If you dont have a spare DS, or my buddies case, ruined the rear pinion yoke, and have to pull the DS to move the vehicle with front wheel drive only the lube will leak out of the tranny.  Stop this by cutting he bottom off of a plastic bottle and after cleaning the tail stock as best you can duct tape the bottle over the end of he tail shaft.  Wrap a cloth over it and tape it some more.  This will keep the fluid in the tranny where it belongs so you can drive on front wheels.  It also makes it a lot easier to drag the broken rig out of the rocks.
