I have a 89' Comanche and i'm thinking about converting the leaf spung rear to 4 or 5 link coil with shock suspension. exactly like the TJ rear- just with longer arms. also this MJ has the dana 44 rear with spring mounts- should I swap for a dana 35 with all the mounts and buckets or should I bite the bullet and just fab everything on the D44? I was wondering if anyone has heard or done this conversion. I searched the web and did not find much. It currently has a 6 inch lift and will most likely become a daily driver with some decent action after work and weekends. I appreciate the feedback.

It would be easier to fab it all for your 44.

It sounds like a great idea and shouldn't be to difficult to set up if you know what you are doing. I would use coilovers though instead of coils, just for the simplicity and the packaging of what you are doing.

I have seen a couple linked Comanche's, though they were desert trucks, but still cool none the less.

Be sure and let us know what you end up doing!

So it's not a Jeep... sue me... it's still faster!
