I have a question?I want to lift my 86MJ and it has a "proportioning valve" on the rear brakes.Can this be removed?

Yes, it can. BUT it can also cause the rear end to lock up alot easier. Though in my personal experience of taking these same type of devices off of Toyota pickups it generally doesn't make a big difference. Probably since they are 20 years old and probably not working anyway... lol  


So it's not a Jeep... sue me... it's still faster!

I reused it when lifting the Red Truck... our 88 MJ.  Pretty simple to reuse, and since it was going to see pickup type duties, I liked the idea of dialing in more or less rear brake depending on how much wieght was in the bed.

That said, I know a bunch of MJ owners who just get rid of it, and have never heard of anything going wrong for them.
