Does anyone know of a kit that is made to swap your belt driven fan to a electric fan or maybe a aluminum radiator fan combo for a jeep 4.0.

I put a 12" electric fan from JEGS on my '96 XJ 4.0 next to my aux. fan. All seems to be cooling just fine. It has been in the 90's here and the jeep is staying cooler than ever.

are you talking a wrangler or a cherokee. lots of kits out there for a wrangler, if a cherokee, your electric backup probably isn't working

It is indeed a Cherokee. The back up comes on and seems to work just fine i just bought a flowkooler and am more than likly going to get a bigger aluminum radiator. I might just buy the radiator fan set up and rip all that other #### out. another topic i wanted to bring up Is anyone aware of any offroad parks in Missouri? hard to find a legal wheeling spot

I'm surprized your having problems, you may have crud buildup in the block or radiator, or maybe a week pump. I have a friend that toes with his cherokee with a busted backup fan and rarly has problems.

i beleave that the second fan on a cherokee that is electric is an A/C fan that turns on with the A/C but i am not sure, and on my cherokee the fan would not turn on unless you wired it to a switch. I soon after bought a new aluminum 3 roll radiator from summit with a 10 electic fan, and took off the mecanical fan and the other small fan and put the one on, and mine jeep runs about 160 all the time unless i am wheeling really hard then it gets up to 210. But taking off the mecanical fan was simple just unbolt it and put the nuts back onthe pully with a washer, and mine haven't come loose yet and it has been almot 6 months and i drive mine everyday.
