have 1994 grand cherokee with 4 liter six. Need to know the torque setting for the adapter to engine block.

I'm not sure about the torque settings, but I read some where that the gasket for tha adapter is bad about leaking. Try a rubber o ring. Hope this will help.

I could not find one, but for the facing o-ring you don't want too much.
I just replaced mine, whicj is on a 1995 Jeep Cherokee 4.0 L and I used 60 foot lbs, no leaks so far.
I replaced all 3 of the o-rings.
The area is tight in there, but I took a 60 TORX which had a 1/2 inch drive on it and cut off the part that surrounded the torx head itself.
I then cut down the TORX drive on the wrench side of it so it would accomodate a wrench together with a low profile 12mm socket on a smaller drive.
