Step 1: Choose the photo you would like to use as your personal Avatar.

Step 2: Resize this photo using Photoshop, MS Paint, or any other of the various resizing tools available free on the internet. Photos need to be croped to no bigger than 100x67 pixles and saved as a .jpg.

Step 3: Host your file on the internet using a  service such as pufile, imageshack, google images, or any of the other free hosting services.

Step 4: Log into your Jp Forums account. At the top of the page select 'My Account'. Place the image URL in the 'Avatar' line and hit 'Preview'. If it looks good go ahead and hit 'Save'.

Option 2

If any of those steps sound difficult to you, you can do it this way.

Step 1: Chose the photo you would like to use for your Avatar.

Step 2: Email that photo to JpAvatars@gmail.com and I will resize and host your photo for you.

Step 3: Take the URL that I email back to you and place it in the 'Avatar' space under 'My Account'. Preview and click Save.

Now nobody has an excuse for not having an Avatar!

Feel free to ask any questions you may have about posting your Avatar, I am here to help!

* It may take a couple days for me to get to resizing your photo, but I will get to it. I'll try to check the mailbox at least once a day. Just please be patient.

in the upper right corner (login/out box), under your user name it says "tools", select "update account".

insert the 100x75/67 image url then click "get image" ...
finally "save" at the bottom of the page.

I don't know what the error problem is, It does it to me also, try clearing your cookies and restart your computer. several guys have been having problems there in the past couple of weeks,

now...please don't let the avatar frustrate you, if your having trouble e-mail me the link or the image stored on your computer, (include your screen name) I can resize and upload the image for you in about 5 mins after I recieve the e-mail. also if you use the AIM or yahoo/windows live, hotmail IM's I can help you through the process live. click my screen name for my aol e-mail or mud_b8@yahoo.com

one more thing... your photos for the readers rides will upload from your computer. you can use the properties of the small display photos for your avatar, almost everyone that has posted in the readers rides has an avatar, I add them to the accounts assosiated with the pic that don't have avatars when I get bored,

yep, it's that simple, I use the readers rides for most avatars of people who have rides posted there.
