Been looking at jeeps for playing in the Deserts of Idaho. Looked at old CJs up to 1996s. What would one suggest for a guy 61 years old to buy and get the best use of.

Look for somthing that has not been hacked together by some back yard mechanic. If I were you I would look for a 91 to 95 YJ Wrangler with a 4.0 in line 6 in it. They are fuel injected and can be bought for the same or less than the CJ's

Any luck finding a Jeep? If ya lived in the Michigan area I'd sell ya my 95 YJ. I'm looking for a newer Jeep, and can't buy it until I sell this one.

hello
i have an 85 cj-7 that has recently been rebuilt. 360 v-8...factory auto trans...4" pro-comp lift...2" shackles...33" BFG mud terrains...new shafts...axles...bearings...breaks...radiator...etc.
been to barnwell outside of dallas a couple of times and a few other places, but mostly to the gym and weight room. 140 K miles but only about 1 K miles on all upgrades.
my daughter has had a brain bleed and surgery and i must sell to cover some of the cost not covered by insurance. don't want to...but yo do what you have to do.
