Going fourwheeling? Just cleaning your Metallica cd doesn't count for preparation. Check vitals; lights, fluids, tires etc. Also do a visual inspection underneath. Anything leaking, hanging down, broken? Fill up the fuel tank, even if your just going for an hour or two, you never know how long you'll actually be.Tell someone where you're going and how long you'll be just in case you didn't check the oil and seize up the motor 20 miles from nowhere.

Good post, also remember to charge your cell phone, have a CB in your rig, some tow straps, some basic hand tools, duct tape, electrical tape, a map of the area if there is one and a first aid kit!! Its best NOT to go alone, only go where you are welcome(a must) and know your surroundings!! Remember a little thought and preparation can make for a fun trip even if the unexpected happens!!

About going alone... Know your rig, yourself and your surroundings!

Having a capable rig doesn't make you capable!  I've done more with stock gearing, 33's and wide open diff's than certain people who 'pound their chest' because their built to the gill.  The problem is their capabilities may not match the rigs.  Simply know your rig and yourself.

If you go out jeeping, you can be in anything... a Chevy, a Dodge, a Toyota, A Jeep, A Fiat, whatever it doesn't matter what you're driving when you go jeeping.  (You only go Jepping in a Jeep.  NOTE the capitalization) Either way, be there for your follow jeepers (offroaders). Help out each other.  Don't hog the trail. Put yourself in their shoes. Assist when/where you can. Set a good example for the sport!

Stay on the trial. Let's keep what's open, open.

Don't go it alone.  In today's world if you break or get stuck, I can garantee this...  You can rely that someone will come by, but you can't trust that'll they will help.  Therefore set a good example and help somebody who is broke or stuck!

PASS IT ON!!!!!!  Help somebody, somebody will help someone, and someone will help you.
