What about a 9" front axle build up using a currie or true "hi9" high pinion center section, that will work under a TJ? Or a story on the math behind suspension geometry and how moving the location of links affects the feel and manners of the vehicle?

I'm with all4jpn, some low tech, cost effective, or "cheap" mods are always welcome. We all see the stuff that we want but may be out of our price range. Let's see what can be done by using the change you find in your couch. Home build cold air intake systems, on board air, home made disco's, etc. I know that these articles are out there in different formats but put one issue together with several different cheap mods.

i agree with the on the cheap build ups and conversions. i know it doesn't help your sponsors that sell bolt on stuff or pricey kits. but i think that most of us out here in reader land would be building on the cheap. how bout building your own link arms, spring buckets, and track bars for a conversion from springs to coils. say maybe on a full size axle throw in from junk yard axles.

will work for jeep parts!

I like the general maintenance idea and/or combine it with Scheduled maintenance!

Here is a thought!  This mag has every Jeep except for one.  What about doing a lift kit and accessories for the Jeep Liberty KJ.  Yes, you ask! Jeep does make the Liberty.  Then why do you all tend to forget that in this magazine?  This jeep is trail rated but everyone seems to think this is a girls SUV.  Wrong !  This jeep has a very good potential status.  So,  please do an article about improvements to the KJ

How about taking Project Steal and turning it into an AEV Brute Pickup? Start with doing the basic conversion, then after a few weeks of testing, go thru your normal upgrades to this project if you so desire.

What about an article on upgrading the stock brakes with existing off-the-shelf stock OEM parts that may be found from junkyard donors or the local Auto Parts store if at all possible?

After installing a lift kit and larger (33") tires, braking performance seems to suffer.

Vanco seems to offer the required parts but seems a little pricey.  It may be worth it to purchase this offering but not everyone is able to afford such a venture.

I've heard of borrowing parts from the early '95 time frame Grand Cherokee to upgrade the rear brakes with bolt on parts.  But what about the front brakes that carry the main load during braking periods.

This area should be looked at a little closer as there isn't much info on the internet and most are not savvy enough to be able to cross reference the required part numbers to make the required transition to better braking performance on a shoe string budget.

what about a new tread about setting up onboard air... go through most of the different types of compressor units and tell which one's can be used and what modifications may be needed... there's alot out there... but it takes alot of work figuring it all out... i know there's the york unit... and the sanden unit that can both be used... what else is there... i know there are more types of compressors out there... what about buying a straight compressor and setting it up to run off a belt... or off a 12V motor on it's own...and what it takes for the plumbing... and what it all costs... cheap versus top of the line setup... (rubber hoses and second hand fittings vs. stainless tubing/stainless fittings)
