I have a 258 in my CJ7 and i was going to put     a hei distributor in it. I bought a new distributor,rotor,cap and coil for a 79 I-6 chevy. all that I had to do is swap out the distributor gears? well the new shaft is smaller than the old dis.shaft the gear is real loose. the dis. fits I was just worrid that it would strip the pin that holds the gear in place. does anyone have a sugestion or know what gear will work.
